Dog Dish Hub Caps / Poverty Caps
I picked up 5 over the weekend. Four we’re marked Ponitiac, Pontiac and one Pontiac Motor Division . I have Seen this difference before but was curious as to different year or applications?

PMD caps used through ‘70 if I remember correctly, PP caps starting in ‘71 and used from then on as replacements.

The Pontiac Pontiac dog dishes are stainless vs PMD dog dishes are chrome plated copper/brass. The stainless ones don’t crack... I have at least 5 Nice PMD dog dish wall hangars I would be scared to drive at freeway speeds with on my car!

GTO1, That is interesting. I was aware of the cracking problem but didn't know there was a difference in materials. My swap meet finds cleaned up nicely with no cracks. I have heard the repro's have the same splitting problem.

Glad to know that about the repro’s... guess I will stick with the Pontiac Pontiac dog dishes I have on my cars.
