It needs higher compression.. not good on a 9.5-1 motor.. install It straight up.. has a good bottom end grunt for a heavier car... jmo.

In a 455 it seems that 11.5 is a good starting number for strip usage in something 400 cid or less 12.5 should be the minimum target.

Lower signature info was street/strip use, and breached the headgasket between cYLs 2-4 after 4-years street duty. Probably low octane ping on a hot day on the highway.

It may but I don't know what it would be. IMO a 106 LSA is pretty tight for larger cid. I went with a 110 on my 482.

One is a 64 Tempest the other a 72 LeMans. The 72 is a drag only car and the 64 saw both track and street time. Both engines built identical.
