Default Help! How to remove heater control panel - 73TA

I need to get the control panel out to fit it with the vintage air electronic send units. I removed the bracket behind the dash but it won't pull back from the back of the dash. Do I have to remove the front dash facia to pull it out forward. How do I get this control panel out?

yes you have to remove the front plate. then the control panel bolts will be where you can get to them. remove bolts then it will slip out.

I removed the exterior screws on the front plate. the top appears free but the bottom is not. Are there screws behind the dash for the front plate?

Did you disconnect the blend door control cables and the electrical wiring? The blower motor power feed wire is very short and won't let you pull out the controls until it is disconnected.

Aren't those items attached to the heater control panel? It is the dash face plate I can't get loose from the bottom. There seems to be two places it is attached or stuck on the bottom between the face plate and the bottom dash pad.
