What the heck is this widget? This is an early 73 TA. Sorry for all the stupid questions... I did not take the car apart myself.

Rare part, and even more rare that it was still on the Car. most are discarded
over the years. |

Do not reinstall it. They were recalled. They leak or will eventually leak fuel and can siphon your entire tank right into the area of your hot exhaust manifolds.
