Default HEI ignition wiring on 73 TA

I am re-assembling my 73 TA and have some questions on ignition wiring. I am upgrading to Dave's Smallbody HEI, which requires a bypass of the coil resistor circuit. Where can I wire in a direct ignition wire to the coil? The fuse panel doesn't show a ignition connection. How do I find the ignition connection? (Electrical issues are NOT my strong suit)

Secondly, there is a brown and pink wire comming off the tachometer circuit board. The brown wire has an inline fuse and appears to go to the coil. Is this a positive or negative connection?

I apologize for the dumb questions. I was not the one who disassembled the car so don't have notes or pictures of what went where.

Your fuse panel should have a cavity that is ignition hot you can run a nice 10 gauge wire to the HEI.

The brown tach wire goes to the coil negative. You can jump the IGN1 and IGN2 circuits together under the dash, that'll bypass the resistor wire, or you can attach a plain stranded wire to the IGN1 circuit on the engine side of the firewall bulkhead connector where the wire comes out of the connector.

If you don't have a wiring diagram we can provide one.

George

I have two wiring diagrams, neither of which shows the connector or fusebox labels. Below is a picture of my fuse panel. My battery and remote solenoid are relocated to the trunk, so i want to eliminate the bypass wire to the solenoid. Would a direct wire to the coil be the simplest? Can you help me find the IGN1 circuit?
