Thats where my GT-37 was built.
I removed the drivers door trim panel yesterday and sure enough...there was a build sheet found behind it.

Im conflicted right now with my t-37. It is an original 350-2/2pd/open 2.78 car. it appears to be 90% original, and is in pretty good condition all things considered. Ive been thinking about taking all the original drivetrain out and setting in storage and updating the car with a 71 abody 455 -325 d port motor and correct 71 th-400 and install my 12 bolt with 3.73 gear. I cant quite make up my mind on what to do. Its not anything special, and it sure would be cooler and fun to drive with a # correct 455/th-400 combo vs the 350-2spd, but in light of the documentation ive found on the car, and the fact that the car is remarkably intact for a car of no real significance, im having a hard time pulling the trigger. most the cars ive ever owned were picked apart before i ever got them, so substituting better performance parts was never an issue, but im having trouble doing it to the T-37. I suppose i could always swap the original stuff back in easy enough. Something about hopping in the car with the 350-2 and 2.78 and being able to cruise anywhere i want is appealing. Ive always wanted to get in an old pontiac and roadtrip across the country. Much harder to do with a 455 and a 3.73 gear. Ive actually already got the 12 bolt installed, but the next step is changing the transmission and ive stalled.

What's wrong with a 455D/12 bolt x-country trip? I heard that is a sweet setup for all conditions??

nothing wrong with that. I might proceed with it and see how it works out. Nothing says i can put it back. besides, theres something about a 455 with poverty caps I might just buy a 3.08 or 3.42 gear for the 12 bolt and give it a shot. the extra torque of the 455 and the gear of the first and 2nd gear of the th-400, no sense in have the 3.73 in there anyway. It wont be a track car, thats what my beat up old LeMans is for

The bummer is, I took the car out for drive with the new rear end. The new rear was a used 12 bolt out of my 72 LeMans, which worked just fine before. As soon as I put it in the t-37, it has a loud howl. Not sure what my next step will be, most likely will pull the 12 bolt out and put the 10 bolt back in.

I say swap the drivetrain you want in, and store the original stuff. Your car looks great with the steelies BTW.

I have a 455-D with TH-400 and a 3.31 12-bolt in my '71 T-37. You might find the 3.73 gear to be a bit much on an extended highway trip.

Adam, could you possibly post a picture of the nuts that are holding your trunk lid emblems on? Thanks!

Thanks. I've had mine off so long I can't remember what they look like. I think they are domed nuts (?)

Here's a shot of the underside of my '72 GTO Survivor trunk lid. As you can see they are the domed nuts

Adam, do the same domed nuts hold on the T-37 emblem on the deck lid?

I believe this car is improperly parked.

If the condition persists it will need to be towed.

The T-37 appears to be an adhesive backed emblem. Mine has the domed nuts for the Pontiac as well, but nothing coming through on the t-37
