Default Bolt Question

These 12 point bolts were used on 80-81's......(possibly 79's)...to hold tops of front fenders to rad support....

Were they used on the bottoms as well?

not from what ive seen on 80-81 cars, they used standard hex head bolts everywhere else, not sure why they used the 12 points on the front top 2 fender bolts.

Don't remember those on my 81. It does have a few more metrics mixed in my 78 does not.

On this particular 81......which is somewhat of a survivor.....(mostly original paint)...the front ones on the bottom are 7/16.. 12 point....and the backs are normal 1/2" hex..

I've taken apart dozens of these cars in the past 30 years....but never paid much attention to the lower bolts..
