Default 70-73 tag lamp ground ??

Where does the tag lamp ground too ? I have 3 originals but only 1 has a strap attatched to the mounting screw. Does the strap work as a ground or is there a wire for ground ?
Thanks in advance !

Take a look at this picture. The strap is attached to the body, and it picks up 1 of the screws when you attach the lamp housing. There is no separate ground wire, just the strap.

Yep, not too far. May have to get together if you have any parts you want to get rid of when I start working on mine again.

hey murph, do you have a photo of that rear panel showing fitment detail of the quarter and rear panel where the tail lamp goes. I want to make sure mine is spot on and yours look factory.

lol...my panel shop did a great job of breaking the strip. Which I found later when the light didn't work. Ended up having to add my own ground strap.
