Default Help with Cowl Tag RPO Codes

Looking for help with some of the option codes on the attached cowl tag. 1971 GTO with parchment interior and bronze exterior paint. But what are all of those other option codes? B80? 079215 590123?

B80 : ORNAMENTATION, EXTR MLDG ROOF DRIP This is from angelfire.com. I don't believe the longer numbers are RPO codes.

They do mean something, we just don't know for sure what they mean.

One set of the numbers supposedly might mean the day and the sequence number on the line.

Most seemed to be on Van Nuys and Fremont cars.
This is not from there though?
(not that up on the A bodies)

HFR would probably know more about this.
He'll probably be around in a little bit.

Could ask this question in the 70-72 A body section.
Might have a better response there?

I think those are data processing numbers. If you had the build sheet, they would correspond with each other.

It looks like your GTO was built in Atlanta in the 3rd week of March.

From a Chevy site, info on numbers following date code.

Next are two sets of 6-digit numbers. The first 6-digit number is a data processing number found in block #24 of the build sheet. The second 6-digit number is a concatenation of a 2-digit (from block #10) and a 4-digit (from block #24)data processing numbers also found on the build sheet. They do not depict option codes or the like so their significance today is of no consequence. They are handy to match a car's trim tag to any build sheet that may be found in the car as these numbers should appear in the respective blocks on the build sheet.
Hope this helps. I believe you already have the paint and trim decoded.

Lakewood plant (A) stamped the B80 on '71 GTO body tags, even though B80 was standard body content. Have had a few '71 LeMans Sports (237's) built out of Lakewood plant & believe same deal. Fremont(Z) & Pontiac plant (P) wil not use the B80 stamping on '71 237 or 242 body styles.

Fremont plant also stamped 2 series of 6 digit numbers (internal plant usage) on the bottom row.
