bought a nice set of used billmiller 426 casting alum rods and going together with the short block. Don't know the tork specs for the rod bolts, anyone know? And would care to share?

I would call them and ask. Some mfg., use different bolts and they will ask you what type of bolt you have before they recommend a torque.
Mine were 75 ft/lbs FWIW. I still would call and ask. Tempest455 http://www.wauknet.com/douthitt/

75 ft lbs is correct for those rods-same rods I have been running for 5 years.

I believe my BMEs used 75 ft lbs with 50 wt oil per them. Kind of scarey doing that to something in aluminum!
