What heat range for 118 fuel?
I ended up picking up a barrel of 118 leaded fuel, non oxygenated, nothing else was available. 14:1 517 Ia2 380 High Port heads. I know I probably don't need that much , but didn't have much to choose from and wanted to make sure i have enough for the year and I got a pretty good deal on it.
. Previous combo at 13:1 was a 7 plug and trying to decide what heat range would be best. High Ports are now 64 cc and 14:1.

what fuel were you running before? Im at about 14:1 hi ports 540 and had run a 7 on e85, tried an 8 on c10 and then went to an autolight -10 equivalent on a recommendation, and wont go back down but thats on 110/112 octane. I beleive my plugs were glowing at 7500 and causing some issues that went away with the colder plug

Even with that level of compression that 118 will cost you some power if your trying to scratch out every last drop of Hp.

We have 8s in all three cars. I made a few runs with 10s in my motor but had other issues & switched back to the 8s. 571 c.i. around 15 compression on my motor , dads is 565 same compression & my sisters is a mild 535 build.

You can mix 3 gallons of 93 with 7 gallons of 118 and end up with a little over 110 octane.
