I'm running the one from Improved Racing. I would very highly recommend them.

Thanks that canton looks like its the best, though looking real hard at the 165 or 185 temp Improved Racing. The Mishimoto looks tempting too

Why are the temps so low?

185 is more inline of what I want.I know what your getting at ta man. Many believe high temps are required for the removal of moisture and other contaminates. The oil is mostly heated by bearing pressure which alone will spike temps up to 50 degrees beyond measured temps .Which should burn off contaminates during that moment. No need for higher running temps

I run a 400 hard block also and temp at the relocated filter was was 240 without cooler oil pressure was about 10 in gear

I have used Oil T-Stat sandwich adapters that go between your filter and the block and really liked the way it stabilized the coolant temps as well. Before the Oil Cooler T-stat my coolant ran 210 with dips down to 180 and back up as the T-stat did its thing. I was afraid that If I added a 160 T-stat to the coolant it would just end up staying open causing the temps to climb and run out of control. Once I installed the oil cooler adapter my coolant temps stayed at 180 and never budged no matter how hard I drove. I also added a oil cooler with a dedicated fan with its own t-stat that would come on @ 200 degrees should the oil reach a higher temp than what the oil t-stat is set to. It was just an added layer of protection on a daily driver. I am a firm believer that Cooling is performance too...

I've got a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee it monitors engine oil temp on off road pages in the display so you can monitor during hard use
And engine oil temps vary only slightly from engine coolant temp which is 180 .

Just yesterday was doing some Wide open runs about ten to build max heat ,oil temp never got above 195 ,water temp was a little lower.Im still needing a thermostat.Instead of a using a thermostat and running more lines I may look into fabing up some type of trap door over the cooler.Nah better not I should stick with a thermostat. One good reason for the thermostat it will allow oil pressure to build up on start a whole lot quicker especially if their is drain back issues due to the bypass effect from the long lengths of -10 lines going and coming from cooler

I run my -10AN from the block adapter up to where my battery was which is where my bypass filter setup is, then from that to the thermostat, then to the cooler. So if my oil stays under 205f at the stat, it just circulates right back into the block skipping the cooler. I only have about 9 ft of -10AN using all full flow 45-degree or straight fittings.
Mine takes a couple seconds longer to build up pressure than a stock setup for sure, but I'm going to be adding an Accusump so I can prime as part of next years upgrades.

I would go with the Canton but they don't offer different thermostats .The only one they have are the crack open at 215 and fully open 240 och
