Not without him or GG buying a custom tall deck BOP belt drive set-up from Wade between now and Norwalk.

Belt drive engineer? Is that an actual field in engineering?

Technically a mechanical engineer who specialized in belt drives. The guy contracted with GM and Chrysler for 10 years.

535 tall deck asked if Wade was the only one who could make a belt drive for an IA ...

Someone previously implied only Wade could supply it. That was not exactly true.

This drive is different and uses an already proven belt that's better/stronger. Its NOT a copy of Wades product.

I believe Bill is paying for two residences currently, so until that's rectified, its hard to bet his car will make Norwalk.

The motor is in final blueprint/detail/assembly mode as time and cash allows. He has all the pieces.

Wade's belt isnt proven? How many failures have there been?

He didn't say that. You need to improve your reading skills. That comment of yours is what starts stuff up here. And, no, I don't have a dog in this fight. I use Wade's belt drive and it performs flawlessly.

I get it....If this is the true stage, and it were mine, even working 60hrs a week, taking time to pull the wife's hair (gently ), with lots of breaks for internet racing fun, that biotch would be done in two weeks tops....just sayin

Good question

Sorry man but bad answer....Your last sentence sums it up and answers the question. Slowbird reading comprehension is fine. Bruce's statement clearly implies that the belt is proven and better/stronger. That led me to the same conclusion that it is better/stronger......HOW? Have there been failures? Seems the BOP piece is proven to me, but I'm not a belt drive engineer either. And I run the lowly timing chain on the fireturd.

As a BOP belt drive user, I would like to know how another belt is more proven and better/stronger than the BOP belt which I have not heard that its had any failures.
Fixing something that isnt broke imo. I understand that Wade doesnt make a tall deck belt drive any more and that is why they are building one so why not just say that instead of our belt is proven and its better/stronger?

Slowbird,
Just because a belt has not been used to turn a camshaft does not mean that it does not a have long and prove history in industrial use where it may have handled must great loads.
