DIST GEAR
OK I am going to replace my dist gear I have a bronze in it now and its on a pro bill msd its got some wear Ive heard they do when everythings new but once its broke in it should be good with a new one. My question is are the composite gears good for street use and long lasting? or stick with a new bronze?
Whats the reviews of you folks here? Thanks

BOP gear is killer. Had it on when it was a street/strip car (5 yrs.). And still on it now after 9 yrs, still like new.

BOP - I had to trim the bottom of the gear to clearance contact with the block. My stock block is just weird - but Yes BOP!

I have been thinking about trying the BOP dist. gear also. The question i have is how much oil pressure do you guys run and with what oil.Just trying to see how much load the gear can take.

I run the 60lb pump, have used the BOP in a few engines with no issue with thousands of street miles.I dont even look at it anymore.Putting one in my 366 NASCAR engine.Tom

I have run one on my slow junk since you've known me.I am Still using the same gear. Oil psi is 95cold and 80 crossing the stripe and 25 on the return road, during most rounds.I run Lucas 20-50.
