And many thanks to Roger Brogdon and Steve Kent for lending Jack a motor so he can race tomorrow.

That's good news, thanks for posting. I'll have to watch the show on TV now.

Good luck Jack & crew!

From the NHRA.com results page...what an incredible effort by Jack...AND, he treed him good:

(W) Allen Johnson (Team Mopar Avenger) 0.100 6.597 209.98
(L) John Gaydosh Jr (Gaydosh Performance GXP) 0.065 6.861 179.23

John Gaydosh becomes the 424th different driver to qualify for Pro Stock at an NHRA national event. It is his first start in 38 races. Gaydosh Jr. blew up his engine in round three of qualifying yesterday and was having an engine brought up from New Jersey. Brogdon heard and he gave him an engine to use today. Gaydosh Jr with the starting line advantage, but Johnson has the lead by 250 feet and the win with the second quickest pass of the round. He will have lane choice over Martino in the next round.

Guess I don't need to watch show now.......Wonder why Jack's MPH was off.

Direct TV screwed up my recording of qualifying again....Got home from Capital last night and had a damn phony sport Bio film on...I hate frigging Direct TV...cable is not a option. Wonder if dish is any better. I don't watch much TV but like to watch what little I want to......and pay for it..

It was on ESPN not ESPN2 is why you probably recorded the other show.
Don't think Directv had anything to do with that?

I'm hazarding a guess that he lifted, knowing it was a borrowed engine and seeing as he was coming up on the finish line that he wasn't going to win the round.

Direct TV's guide makes it very easy to see what programs are scheduled so you can record if you want. They DO NOT control what ESPN or any other network puts on their channels.

Hate all you want, all the others plus over-the-air would not be any different.

I used Direct TV's listing last week to set auto record...screw them...it sure as h wasn't my mistake..If they changed the programing....they should have a way to make sure customers still get it !!
Sorry for rant....it bugs the crap out of me though...did I tell ya..

OH well ...back to subject....Congrats Jack...

I've tried cable and switched back to Direct TV. Dish is owned by the same company as Direct TV, but comparable packages cost more with Dish.

The Direct TV DVR is one of those gadgets I can't imagine living without!!

The one thing I hate is when girls 8 year old softball goes over for 30 minutes, the programming doesn't extend the drag racing 30 minutes.

Last weeks race stopped at the beginning of the finals.

I usually also record whatever program is on after the race to get the extra recording.
I didn't that time though.

Anyway, at least Jack will get some TV exposure this time I hope?

Yes, I was lucky to be recording the nationwide race on ESPN and the NHRA race on the 2. I've learned to record the next show after drag racing because it gets bumped by blind midget synchronized swimming.

ESPN is to blame this time, they changed the channels at the last minute.

Yeah.....on a rant () with DTV I was told they have no control over programing....FoxTV controls that...they are screwy..
