Question Music Thread: What songs have you gone looking for lately?

Ever since my son showed me how to strip music from Youtube videos, I've been searching for music after I hear it on the radio or in a TV commercial.

Latest ones I've found - from an Acura commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQdmJ91_jCk Nick Waterhouse, Say I wanna know

Can't remember where I heard this, may have been in a movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MMflNf-ocg Marlena Shaw - California Soul

This one was the backing track for a new TV cop show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB6WZu8IAZg T-Rex, 20th Century Boy

I've got them on a CD in the truck now & I'm playing the **** out of them.

I've been downloading all kinds of rock music from the 60s and 70s. Plan on converting them and putting them on CDs .... or DVDs if that will work.

I wonder if music DVDs will play in my car's CD player. Anyone know?

Been searching for a lot of the old stuff I used to listen to since I don't care for much of the newer metal stuff. Iron Maiden, The Trooper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uq6Ax-zzkQ But I am loving the latest Anthrax http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X_WZMcrng4

Don't know why, but I've been getting into 80's music lately. Nina, the Police, Crowded House, After the Fire, etc.

i went looking for 2 old Jim Stafford swamp songs i remembered from when i was a kid in early 70's - and found them last week ! Same guy that did Spiders-n-Snakes , Wildwood Flower and some others.
These Stafford songs are awesome and kinda spooky
i had the album

Swampwitch Hattie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LgM7PxgXL0

The Last Chant
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUC-N3JvQQk

while i was on a swamp roll - i hooked up with Skynyrds - Swamp Music song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wJWBcj7lsY

and Jerry Reed - Amos Moses
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7GyLr7Cz2g

unrelated theme - but also looked up Children of the Sun by Billy Thorpe
unforgettable classic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb7QcJgjQqY

Then here is this incredible precious child - 9 year old girl - playing guitar and singing a song in her living room at home doing a request for her Grandfather.
Amazing talent. Grandpa is surely proud.

She has been playing lead guitar since she was 6 , for a band called the Mini Band.
i like her solo acoustic version better than any other i have heard of this song.

One of my favorites is Joan Jett's version of Dirty Deeds. For those of you who are familiar with AC/DCs version, check it out.

I went searching through Korn's catalog because the drummer in my band wanted to cover some. My favorite stuff is from "Take A Look in the Mirror".

My other project is to do a reggae/ska/punk arrangement of "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band.

I had to find a real version to get that awful taste out of my mouth
thats when I found the interview of Chris Squire.
Then I dug out all my Hendrix so I could hear it on a real stereo

I sing this to my cat. His nickname is Hotrod because he literally makes shrieking noises when he hauls ass down the hallway and back, as if he's doing burnouts.

CDs ????!?!?!? Why not buy a cheap MP3, iPod player or a flash drive and drop the disc. Anyway some recent bands I think sound like hair metal are Adelitas Way, Bullet for my Valentine and 12 stone if you want to listen to something new. Hey Gene Simmons I am a big fan of KISS but the recent album you guys did was bad

I just did a google search and have used several of the top listed ones - sometimes one will block you when the other will not.
