Todd's white 71 1/2 GT-37 had its share of owners as a project.
Rick Wright that used to be part of the Purely PMD bunch owned it (I made him some stripes for it). Rick had it forever, eventually sold it, then it eventually was sold to Gary D, who sold it to Steve, who ended up selling it to Todd. Personally, I'm glad it finally got built!

I memember it was Sir Hoog's car previously. Stick car, 350 or 400 seems like.
Wankers was thinking of putting it 455HO - but it turned into being done as a daily driver for his hotchickwife. And he put it 350 Auto for her.

Thats when i was telling him to go 4cyl Stick for maximum economy.
Then a couple Gulf hurricanes ruined it for all of us.
Idunno if she kept driving it daily or not after that, all the way up to now anyhow.

I've got pix of it in different locations, and different stages, on a crashed box.
Had forgotten of its previous owner lineage prior to SteveD, until oPH updated us.

Here is the PHS. The 12 bolt is still there and the PQ TH400.

If i had pulled it 25 years ago - it would have all been history.

So its a Dark Green Hardtop with Auto on Column
12 bolt rear still under it ?

Thanks for posting - and if you can share anymore things, we always enjoy it.

I forgot which thread it got covered in.
Think SteveD entwined it within another discussion on other stuff -
and Wankers kept it updated in there.
Might try to find it in a bit.

It looks GREAT.
Especially when the stripes went on.

This is all i've found so far on the 71.5 GT-37 White 350/3spd car.
From about 4 years ago. Damn time FLIES !!
I thought in one thread he had drivetrain and interior installed - with finished pix.
Not found yet.

He first was gonna do 455HO/ Auto/ 3.07 12bolt Driver/Purestock Dragger.
Then said 350cid for his wife to drive.
Then said 455HO again - (i forgot)
so ..... right now i'm unsure
J273 probably is right, lets Hope.

So,,,

Wankers old White car is worthy of being in this thread (haha) and earns its Stripes.
He did put the 455HO behind the fan blade after all.

Has to be the best looking Chrome Nose 70-72 i've ever seen.
Color combos are just unbeatable.

Great history on the White/white GT-37 based on ownership is probably why it is solid and restored today.

Todd, also gave me some history on my car too. The GT-37 early CC M-22 HO car.

I'm not sure but I heard it was use to run from the law...

Before pix:

After a Dan Jensen build with a dyno run to test:

I would Chris, but my car is in line for body and paint....

I guess there are a lot of restorations running thru Portland, MI these days even in this market.

Scott Tiemann's guys are doing quite a few in front of mine.

That's what I thought. I don't need any more cars or projects but I would have regretted not saving it.

You guys are really geeking-out over this car. I personally think the car is really g@y now, with all the goofy stripes and hood pins. If a legit-HO plain T in a dark color ever fell in my lap, I think I would buy it.
