Default Who's Going to Co-Vention?

I think Beth and I are going to try to go this year - just checking to see who all is planning to go and where everyone is staying? This will be our first national convention. It is an 8 hour drive from Atlanta - thinking about driving the car but not fully decided yet.

If by luck I have my 70 finished by then and nothing is going on that week/weekend, I'm going to try and make. Same with the Racing on Friday at Kil-Kare. I'd bring the 74 for that event.

Lookin' to go in the wife's GTP; just don't trust the 72 Sport or want that many miles on her. Have family in Dayton who might put up with us. Lookin' at about a three-week trip.

We plan to have the Judge ready for POCI points judging. I think that we're booked into the Fairfield Inn, several miles from the Nutter center.

Thanks Ron,

I'm assuming the state park is nicer than the KOA.

I would say that the state parks are your best bet, I think this will be the closest. It's a nice park but not a lot of shade trees.

I think the Koa is a nice place but very pricey.

O.K. finally got a room reservation and plans are firming up. I'm staying at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center right outside the Wright Patterson AFB Gate # 12. It's about 2.5 miles from the Nutter Center. Anyone staying there? Jerry, where is the rest of the Georgia crowd staying? I am going to drive my GTO and plan to caravan with some of the guys from SEGTOA, leaving about 8:30 Tuesday morning 7/7/09 from Marietta area if anyone wants to join up with us. It's pretty much a straight shot up I-75 and we're planning about 7 hours trip time.
