Default 65 inside mirror

what is the correct mirror for 65. is 8 inches long the correct length? what color should the back be argent? does anyone sell a correct repro? or does anyone have a near perfect original? Any help would be appreciated. Randy F

Depends if you want the standard mirror or the day/night. I have some really nice standard mirrors and some pretty nice d/n. PM with email addy for pics if interested.

Randy, go with the 10" day/night mirror. In the long run you'll be glad you did. I had that same decision to make with my 66, and I'm glad I went with the d/n mirror. And that's what was in my 1st 66 GTO back in 1970.

I'm probably wrong but IIRC, the plain Jane 2 and 4 door Tempests only had the non chrome 8" non d/n mirror. The d/n mirror could have an option in 65 and 66.

My 66 Tempest custom did have the d/n mirror in it from the factory, but I can't remember if it was 8 or 10 inch. All I remember was I could turn the knob so the high beams from the AH behind didn't blind me.
