Default 1965 gto exhaust

I am putting on a stock exhaust system with stock exhaust manifolds. The ends of the pipe that go to the exhaust manifolds are beveled. My question is is there supposed to be some type of gaskets between the pipes and the exhaust manifolds. If so what type?

No gaskets, the pipe bevel seals directly on the beveled manifold outlet.
