Default Date code decipher help.

The date code on this 1974 T/A is "10A". Does this indicate the car was built on the 10th day of January? Thx.

Agree.

10A = October, first week.

We also know it has something to do with the body build, specifically. We don't know if it means start of body build, end of body build, or some pay point mid process.

It also means that the completion for the rest of the vehicle down the final line would be some time after that depending on line rate, number of production shifts, product mix and work stoppages (both scheduled and unscheduled).

This is an interesting trim tag. Body was built somewhere between Oct. 1-5.
PHS probably shows end of October/early November ship.

Default Thx for the help.

This car is unusual in that it was ordered with the following options: 455 Y code with th400, A/C, tilt, PW, PDL, console, rear defogger but standard interior. I plan to change it to Deluxe interior though. Thx again everyone. Dave
