Pontiac 326 in a Studebaker truck...with a blower on it.

I know a guy that took a '56 Studebaker Hawk, turned it into a '62 GT Hawk, put an AMC firewall in it so he could have power brakes, put a '66 Chevelle SS 396 engine in it with a 4 speed and a 340 Duster rear end. That car flew and looked cool.

As far as just weird swaps, our friends who built our funny car chassis did an odd one. They installed a 392 hemi in a Nash Metropolitan for a customer. It was really crammed in there. I have a pic somewhere. I will post it if I find it.

That may be the one they did. I never got to see it in paint. Only Primer. It was blown and had a wing. That almost has to be the car. Do you know the owner?

There is a guy that was building a 1967 Beaumont with a V10 Viper engine in it. There is a thread on Team Chevelle but it hasn't been updated in a while.

No clue. It was the Prolong feature show car a few years back. I'd hate like hell to change a flat. LOL

We have a 62 Ford Unibody pickup that has a Pacer under it. Pacer IFS clip, 258 AMC 6 cyl, 904 trans, pacer rear end. It was like that when we bought it. It was on a show circuit here in Norcal years ago.

I was actually thinking of putting an Neon SRT-4 engine (daily) in my 63 Rambler American using Jeep RWD drivetrain.

I'm just weird I guess.

Not exactly "weird" but all-Pontiac- I still admire the guy who fit a 455 into a Fiero. Member here maybe?

Slant 6 in a RX-7 is definitely odd but that engine would out last 10 rotary engines easy.

This has to be the winner here:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F273616872360

My wife had one of these when we got married. We sold it to some kid who no doubt wrecked it.

I can see why the builder is selling it - those mufflers are still in the passenger compartment! (Along with the rest of the engine.)

About 2 years ago, while calling on one of my customers in Algona, IA....

One of their customers had a '50 Mercury with a 6.7L Cummins diesel in it. Car was painted OD green with military markings on it. The owner was real proud of it.

I give him credit for the engineering. I didn't like the execution.

I read an article today in a local rag about a 34 Chevy ratrod, with a Cummins under the hood.

I bought a Pontiac 455 that was sitting in the bed (with a camper top) of an S10. I asked if he knew what car was the donor for the 455.
He said he did not know but he pulled the 455 out of a Dodge Power Wagon to drop a 440 in it.
What?? I said. And he repeated the facts again.

I suppose it is true...who would make that up?
