Yes, it is a very nice piece! I purchased two from the seller through our Grand Prix group on Yahoo where he first offered them to our members there to help get the ball rolling on the project of reproducing them. This one on eBay is the last one available of that first batch that were made. He may have more made later if there's enough demand.

do you know how many were made, and what was the price point?

it would be nice if ames was interested in this, as a possible new product.

Wow that bracket looks heavy duty....I have some NOS brackets...they look cheesy compared to that..

I need one...Going into the 70 4 speed car since it's a driver. much better than the flimsy originals, it appears.

Default Bracket

Hey Keith,

The reproduction units are really nice. I picked up a spare for Larrry's 71 4-speed GP just in case...

Very beefy.

So maybe replacement is a better name than repro? If they are noticeably different looking?

probably good that its beefed up, I seem to recall mine having a weld repair (25 years ago) and it was not an abused car.
