Default Found the noise

The car was running like crap and had not only a noticeable miss, but it’s making a heck of a racket. Took the valve cover off and saw this. We’re taking the intake off now.

Looks like the rocker nut came loose and the rod jumped out of the lifter. The rod looks okay. So we’ll put it back together and hopefully I’ll have a car to drive while our other engine languishes in the garage.

Make sure the plunger clip is still in the lifter , because sometimes if it’s just the round clip type they do pop out!

I'm happy to report that I got my car back. My son and I got it all back together. Same old crappy motor, but at least it runs. Thanks for your help as always.
