Bob, sorry for your loss, I hope and pray you find a way through this and learn to thrive again. I’m certain that is what your loving wife would want.

This has been a very hard thread to read, I hate seeing you suffer and it keeps forcing me to the realization that my wife of 39yrs or I will likely soon be facing a similar fate. We are both fairly heathy at the moment, but time passes quickly now and you do not know what is just around the corner. I try to tell her every day that I love her and have managed to do so almost every day of our marriage. I too do not know how either of us will go on without the other, but I know we must. I don’t want her to have an unhappy remainder of her life if I pass first and I know she feels the same way.

I have faith in God and I know there is more to all of this than just what we have here. I believe we can and will be with our loved ones again. I believe your separation from your wife is temporary. PM me if you like.

Rob

Again, thank all of you. Just got home from funeral. Catholic mass which she wanted. She wanted be cremated. So we had a physical viewing Sunday. Then cremation. We had the one dove and 3 doves release, following at the cemetary columbarium (spl). She would be very happy. Right now I'm at ease. Going to work on the financial affairs. The worst is at 2am prostate bathroom break. Getting back to sleep. Contacted bereavement group at St Vincent Archabbey. That'll be next. Again thank you for your outpouring of prayers, concern.

God Bless you Bob.

I follow the St. Vincent Oblate. program. Talk to Fr. Donald Raila,, St. Vincent Archabbey, Latrobe, Pennsylvania.. They are very strong spiritually...

I know of this group of people who have died and then came back. They all said the same thing. On the other side, was all the people they loved in there lives who have passed and they are in this beautiful place without pain or hate. Stay in prayer Bob..

I saw this a couple months ago and saved it in hopes that my preacher might use it when I pass. I pray it will bring some comfort to you.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Losing a loved one usually jars a person out of the materialistic world and makes them realize that time spent in relationships are far more important than accumulating stuff you can't take with you when you die. It's best to learn this early in life rather than towards the end of ones journey, as most do.

May I ask if your wife had a COVID shot?

We each had our- searching for appropriate term- our interests. We came together for our well being- concern for each other physically-emotionally- financially, church, family. We started after our retirements to feel this is great relationship. The creator put us together and did gave us a blessing. I'm still 'swimming'.
389 I will search that out. Its s mile as the crow flies. Thank you all. May god bless all of you.

FWIW...recurring fatigue/tiredness is a constant battle with chronic Lyme disease, as well as a myriad of other debilitating symptoms. Be assured that your wife is no longer experiencing any pain/limitations from her earthly body. All is well now.

Getting appointments with lawyer,financial advisor.
Talked to Father Donald seeing him tomorrow.
At times I feel great peace, maybe a few seconds. I talk to her daily. Anxious, alone with our 2 cats. Just did dishes had leftover chicken. Eating less than I ever have. Just not hungry. Seeing dr Friday 8am for a thorough physical.

Thank you guys again. It's just a week. However I'm getting things sorted out. Everyone once in a while I feel such great peace. It lasts a couple of seconds but I do feel good. Still weepy, lonely still wondering about finances in the distant future. I'm working on a budget trimmed down. Thank you.

I'll say it again, hang in there, take a breath and don't do anything on impulse. Let your mind absorb what just happened. Assume that all things happen for a reason. And most of all let the people close to you help you get though this.

Friends check on me each day. I was at Drs this am for my wellness checkup. EKG good, blood pressure without meds is normal, lost 18 lbs of pasta, cookies, pizza). Back in month for checkup. Dr said my wife had a massive heart attack that she couldnt recover from. Gods will. Another door in my life will open. Last night while looking on net saw a video of The Seekers performing 'I Know I'll Never Another You' That was our favorite song for 42 yrs. I couldnt listen I really broke up, alone. However I do remember being together, dancing to that song. Thanks guys may god bless and keep all of and your families.
