More money than brains. I guess the $33,169 sticker was not enough. Moron.

How much money does the show add to a collector cars price. Fun to watch.

Well, you add 8% to the final price of the car. So add 8% to the $51K that the 64 went for.
But the buyer of the new one was just dumb.

Will be a few more DUMB 04 GTO owners out there who paid 33K too!
But honestly The Biggest Fool I EVER SAW on the BJ Auction was the idiot last year who bought the "Cheech" M and Don Johnson "hemi" clone that
had the 318 4 bbl engine in it for over 100K just
because it was a NASH BRIDGES car.

This auction is amazing. I thought last year was amazing.
That Marina Blue Vette was VERY similar to my fathers except his is Yellow with like 5 more desirable options on it. That went for $135K!

Not the auction premium. How much would the same car sell for through other channels; ebay, classifieds, etc. Without the hype of a televised auction.

I read somewhere that Barrett Jackson has as many as 4500 cars to choose from. From that they
auction 800-900 they belive are the best or most
interesting. It is amazing what some of the chebbies are bringing.

COPO=Central Office Production Order
Chevy speak for building limited production vehicles (work trucks w/ different combos, vas, etc. Oh yeah, musclecars w/ big ole honking motors ) for the public and small companies out there.
Pontiac had it's methods, Chevy had theirs, Ford had some idea about putting odd ball stuff in all sorts of strange cars (a 427 Medium Riser in a 4 door Galaxy), and MoPar was out and out in your face about there abilities.

Heard them say that a 65 GTO brought 75k before the TV show started. Must have been a convert.

Yeah, that was pretty funny. I'm sure that was a jab just as much as it was a compliment, though.
