You can use any 64-72 GM A-body(Chevelle,Skylark,Cutlass,orTempest)rear.The 64 had a bolt on rear spring and along with the 65&66 they were 1/2"/side narrower than the 67-72 rears.Chevy rears use a smaller ujoint so you would need a double sided ujoint to use a Chevy rear.Any 69-72 G body rear(Grand Prix or Mone Carlo)will fit also.Just have to look til you find the ratio you want.

If you want the bigger gears and are doing a motor to match, definitely replace the rear. The cost to upgrade yours will get quite expensive and it will never have the strength of a legit 3:36 and bigger rear. If you just want a highway cruiser, just drop in a posi unit. They are more readily available for your gears.
