I have found a pretty good set of Rally II's on a '72 Luxury LeMans--obviously not original to the vehicle. They have the red Pontiac arrowhead emblem. What year do these come from? Which emblem would be correct for 1970 GTO? Can you sand blast these boys?

Casey,
1972 Lux LeMans equipped with 14 x6 Rally II wheels should be code KT (code to right of valvestem). If the '72 Lux LeMans was ordered with optional handling pkg it could come with the 14 x 7 Rally II wheel, code KS (same as '72 GTO).

1970 GTO's equipped with Rally wheels came with 14x6 Rally II's coded:

JL (car built before late Nov of '69)
JT (car built after late Nov of '69)

There was a slight offset difference between these two wheels, as the early '70's utilized "two piece" rotors (same as '67-69). Black center caps were used on the "early" JL wheel cars & conversely red caps were used on the later JT's. After cleaning up your caps, if your centers are lightly scuffed but not faded, & your bezels are fine, the lucite centers can be buffed out or replaced with new lucite centers...ck Performance Years, our board host.
