I have a set of #16 heads with a date code of J107 complete. What are they worth?
Thanks Jeff

In the area of $300 depending on condition for rebuildable cores.

Thanks for the reply. That gives me a good starting point. I have someone who wants them and I want to be fair. The heads are in really good shape ,redone around 10 years ago but probably only have 2500 miles on them.

Thanks Again

Good luck with them. I sold a set on CL after listing for months for $200. I had to guarantee them for 30 days. Iron heads are over, Aluminun are the desired pieces.

Some folks still want the correct iron heads for a restoration, aluminum heads aren't even a consideration for the resto crowd as you know.

Some will still want them for a sleeper engine, they can easily be ported to match 'out of the box' aluminum heads.

They're not over, they're just not as desired as in the past before there were so many great aluminum head choices.

Got $375 for my last set of virgin, untouched, never rebuilt 1968 #16 heads. They didn't sell overnight but eventually the right buyer came along. If you're patient you can get decent money for them, if you're in a hurry then that's a different story.

Agreed. I went with iron heads and had them ported to flow as much as any out of the box standard port because I wanted to retain a stock appearing look. When its all said and done, I would would have had nearly as much in these heads as I would have aluminum heads if I had to go out and buy them (I'd had these for 20 years). There are still numerous people out there ported iron heads every day.
