Default Heater box questions...

My 68 was originally an AC car, and I am converting everything over to non AC. I see that Ames sells a non AC fan box for an AC firewall, so have that covered.

I have the OEM vent box, which is pretty rough. Can I replace it with a non AC box and still line up with the fan box mentioned above? Or, will I still need the AC style vent box ?

Still need the AC box on the interior side because of the firewall opening.
