Default 535 IA2 Build

Yesterday was dyno day!

Alrighty guys! I built this bad boy, and since it is my first one( had adult supervision) I’ll just be happy if it all stays together. I’ll use this post to comment on our pulls. We should be making a few

First well start with the same setup as I had previously,
2.125 in headers with the 1450 AED Carb, then we will switch it up a bit,

I will look for peak power up around 8000 ish if needed but also looking for a good combo to bracket race with.

For all that don’t know.

It’s a 535 IA2 Aluminum block
4.350 bore with 4.5 stroke
Racetec Pistons
14.75-1 compress running C16
Jessel Mohawk System 1.8 Rockers
Cam is a big boy
Intake, Heads are All Pontiac Tiger heads
No flow work done but been port Matched
409 CFM at 1.0 Lift (.936) is where I’ll be.
Custom 2 piece Moroso Langer Pan
Msd crank trigger
Looking for 900 ish

Clearview oil filtration with system one backup filter.

Dyno Results
Peak HP

887 at 7000 RPM
729 TQ at 5500 RPM

I made 887 with no vaccum,! I made one rookie move, didn’t think to ask about a pan gasket, I just beaded it up with black gasket maker and called it a day, apparently there is a cork that goes into the rear main that I missed. Caused us to have no vacuum. Easy fix.

I can only assume with a sealed up engine I would make around 905-910. There is plenty of room to grow.
Wish I could add videos for all who don’t follow my Facebook post!
