Default Pypes downpipes DGA10 / DGA20 1965 1966 Big B Body trouble

Hi,
i have installed the Pypes system SGP10 under my 389 4bbl standart exhaust manifold 1965 Bonneville.

the problem:
The downpipes are not really fitting. They are too low and no chance for a correct fittment. The sterring link has make big damage to the downpipes at both sides. The bending to the exhaust manifold are to much to 90 degrees. I ordered to the system the big car downpipes DGA10S .. in my opinion they won`t really work ..too much trouble for fittment ... any idea ?

The DGA20S is looking more better ..in beding .. but does it fits to the standart exhaust manifolds?

Any experiences?

Thx, Bjoern

Check out down pipes offered by Ram Air Restorations. I had similar fitment problems with Pypes system on my '67 Grand Prix. The Ram Air down pipes fit perfectly. Also, everything I've received from Ram Air (rear stabilizer, long branch headers, oil filter offset and rear lower control arms) fit perfectly. Excellent customer service, too.

Good luck

Bruce

Thx for this feedback .. i emailed yesterday with Paul at Rames ..
he said that the parts they offering are only for Ram or HO pontiacs ..
But at RamAirRestoration.com the pics are lokking great .. I`m thinking to buy HPB4X big car downpipes .. looks nicly and close like NOS! Not sure if i can ge it with the 2 bolt flanges for my origignal standart manifolds ...

Waldron's Exhaust makes the OEM style systems to fit the standard manifolds or the HO/Ram Air manifolds.
