ok, i was installing my headers and it came to the part of putting the gasket on and i wasnt sure on how it goes, on the gasket it has a rough side and a smooth side, does the smooth side go to headers and the rough side to the block or is it the other way?

either way will do but use this silicone that is available at most auto parts stores. Use it on both sides of the gasket. Don't put too much on either. Let it sit overnight to cure. After a weeks worth of running, retighten the bolts.
