Is it possible to change the cam in my GTO with the engine in the car? Is it enough taking out just the radiator, or would the core support and enduro get in the way?

You can change the cam with the engine in the car, the core support may slightly get in the way. You might have to jack the engine up a tad to get a bit of room for the R/R of the cam.

This is my first Pontiac engine. Can I do the cam change without removing the oil pan? Will the gasket re-seal? Or is it a bad idea to not remove the pan?

You do not need to remove the oil pan.You will have to replace the front section of the pan gasket were the timing cover bolts to.Also once the timing cover is off cover the front of the oil pan opening with tape or shop towels.This will prevent dropping gasket material and bolts etc from dropping into the pan.

I've done many Chevy engine's and some Fords, but never a Pontiac. But from the info I have been given here, I can tell there is not much difference in terms of the timing chain cover R&R.

If your car has A/C the condenser will get in the way of the cam when you pull it out. You'll need to move it up and out.
