I'm really wanting to drop my 2.78 down to something like that. 3.23 would be ideal for what I want.

3.23 is an excellent gear. Had a friend in high school with a 69 lemans, 350, pretty sure a TH350, 4bbl (after market), nothing else. Would give my 68 GTO with a 2.92 a run for it's money, he'd lose ... but was uncomfortably close

Unfortunately this one will probably end up being a parts car. The prior owner tried to "preserve" the car by wrapping it in a heavy tarp while it sat outside for the last 15-20 years.
