Pinion angle is generally around 2 degrees -- depending on how hard you want to hit the tire -- and engine/trans centerline should be "pointed" aor angled at the pinion -

Default Tube Chassis Engine Placement

What kind of pan clearance are you guys experiencing with such low crank centerlines of 12” and below? I’ve got my 68 Firebird sub frame mocked up so that I should have about 6” from flat part of my rocker to the ground.

This allows me to modify my crossmembers to allow a low crank centerline but I’m only going to have about 1-1/2” off the ground to my 20490 9-3/4” deep Moroso oil pan.

crank center at 12 -- pan depth of 8 ish gives you 4 in of ground clearance .-- time for a new pan. and depending on the cars use -- 12 to 13 crank heights work ok.

You’ll have to have a different pan. That’s too low. You will bang it on everything. I think we ended up with about 6” or so. It uses the 7 quart pan. My other car sits way lower and the only pan that will fit is a dry sump pan.

The Raven is crank CL ~ 12 3/8 at ride height, engine set back as far as possible with stock firewall.
