Thinking about selling my 63
Well as the title states I have been tossing it around in my head if I should sell my 63 or not. Basically it's just a shell with absolutely no rust holes on the car body. Only rust would be where the previous owner left the car outside and the rust consist where the windshield sits. My question is how much would the car be worth. Bumpers still have the chrome on them. Had a spare car that I took a set of doors off and truck lid off.

Probably would bring more than that in the great white north. Rust free is worth a grand to those farming out body work. If it were a Lemans (need a body shell) I'd be sending the flatbed your way right now --

Anything left of the drivetrain? What engine/trans? How's the steering wheel?
I agree with the above comments, somewhere between $1500 - $2500

$$$$
I would value it in the $750 to 1500 range. Looked at a 63 coupe that was licensed and running for $2500. Body had some lower panel rust but the car was complete. This car would require many parts to complete and much more than $1500 to get on the road. Just my opinion.

Gave $1500.00 ten years ago for my rust free Arizona 63 tempest body. All the trim-good glass and bumpers. No drive train. Best investment I ever made. Plus shipping cost too Mi.

If as nice as suggested:
Fenders $600 Hood $300 - $400 Nose $150 Front Valance $100 Rear Valance $200 Bumpers $150 each Doors $600 Body $600 - $1000 I've gotten plenty of good deals on transaxle cars, but the man is asking what he should get for the car. No way in hell I'd take $1,500 if it were mine. |

Just out of curiosity did you keep the big window when you put the new roof on?
I think you could get $2000-$2500 fairly easily if your not in a hurry. |

Yes I keeped the glass. I had two back windows but during my house move 7 years ago I accidentally smashed it. The car is from Vegas and has not been on the road since 1978 from what I have found out about the car. In the 10 years I have had it its always been in a garage. When I say there is no rust on the body I mean there is no rust holes. Yesterday was the first time its been outside overnight since I have owned it. I can post pictures later tonight or tomorrow. My kid helped my cover it yesterday when I got it home. I am no hurry to try to sell it, but you know how you get those thoughts in your head when you say how many cars in enough. This would be the 7th car I have and the only one thats not a driver. And its just my wife and I that drive.

You know it doesn't have to be pretty to drive it.
Throw a motor in it and drive it. That's what I'm doing with a bunch of mine and having a blast. I get more attention with these cars then my buddies with there restored cars. Matter a fact my buddy told me there were people leaning on his car to look at mine. We were parked next to each other. I had to laugh about that one. Drive it have fun with it paint it later. with the "patina" it has and the big back window would be a neat gasser with 2x4 tunnel ram sticking thru the hood and a straight axle.. oh yea and cant forget the fender well exit headers...

The rear of the car. It was windy so I did not want to take the cover off the car.
