Default Drag Week 2014

Hoping to enter my 65 in big block NA this year if the route is somewhat here in the Midwest. Having never done this before, need some advice on when registration typically begins and the best way to find out so I get in.

Who else on here is thinking of going?

V8 and I should get a notice by email sometime in Feb/Mar time period. Im sure we will post up the schedule as soon as we can. Past competitors get first dibs then 4-6 hours later open enrollement starts.

Make sure you are quick on the draw, they will go even faster this year.

I dont know about you guys but I had trouble finding anyone to go the last two years. I think its set already this year but Ive had buddies drop out a few weeks before both races. Hoepfully you have a loyal buddy to help you through it.

I've got a Pontiac buddy(Arowhed on here) that's in for the trip. He's a good wrench and will put some beers away with me. Kind of a bucket list thing for both of us.

I wasn't planning to go at this time last year either, might have to go and try to defend my E.T record. Lots of fast Pontiac's have plans to go but you need to finish....

First getting to Dragweek, then finishing Dragweek is the tough part, going fast would be a bonus.

I'll be happy just finishing. Running a good number would be icing on the cake.

My wife and I will be going this year regardless whether we are coming to race. Most likely my car will not be ready by then. Last year we followed along for the first 3 days and it was very sad leaving and coming home. This year we're going the distance. Rich - it was great meeting you, your brother and dad last year. Will they be making the trip with you again? Drag Week is definitely on my bucket list!
