NHRA will be going to 9.00 - 17.99 for the non-electronics classes in 2004. I guess they heard how fast Pontiacs are becoming. I like to go fast but hate electronics.

You hate electronices because? What Kind of electronics do you hate? Delay boxes? Throttle stops? Electric shifters? MSD's? Transbrakes?

I'm assuming he means electronics that do ANYTHING that the driver should be doing for himself, unless he's handicapped or something, right?

Oh come on! The thrill of launching with a T-brake and a delay ox is almost as good as sex!

is he saying that cars running 9.00 or slower in the 1/4 will not be allowed to run electronics? i think that would be kinda cool...for sure it would spice up super gas and super street. it would really suck to have to run against that many more cars in foot brake, although i guess some tracks would create a time break. our track operator has already told us that he's not going to allow electronics after this year, which i think is a great idea. it will give some guys a chance to run for more money against the really fast cars and it will get the car count down a little in the foot brake class.

Ok. Im not a fan of throttle stops in Bracket racing. But to run an index in one of the Super classes, its a must. A delay box car still relies on the driver releasing the button at the right time. I'll admit its easier to cut a light with a delay box compared to using a brake with out one. But, out here if your running for the big payout you need to be in the Super Pro class where your up against fast reacting dragsters. If your without a box your going home early.

Footbrake is going drop from 10.00 to 9.00. I am just old school and like doing things the old fashioned way. I have had to run in electronics classes before, and haven't done too bad.

Hey Jack,
How are you doing? I love foot braking and electronics do nothing for me personally!(Note GUYS ME Personally) There is nothing wrong with
electronics but Trans brakes should not be allowed in a foot brake class.( And again my personal opinion) The fact of the matter is I can drill the tree consistantly with out the box and I do know that it can increase my chances to win, but I do enough of that already, and when I don't it's Miller Time!!!!!!

Good luck everyone this year, and sorry that I will not be able to partake in many races this year. Health and Work issues!

I heard some rumors about this, but, can't confirm here in Div. 3,yet, Remember this could be just a Div. thingy as the track owners are the ones who have to vote on program changes, within there respective Div.s. Here in Div. 3 the Summit rules say this year no transbrakes or 4 wheel linelocks, two or more step rev. limiters, in PRO at the Div. ET finals, but they said that last year too.

Doing good Hot rod, swamped at work and trying to get my house approved through the county, what a pain in the balls. Hope you are feeling better, are you going to Norwalk this year?
