Has anyone got a suggestion as to what to do around my rear window? Three of six molding clips that I have exposed have been rotted off. I have no experience in the molding removal and re-installation of this or any molding around the front or back windows. Will I be able to find clips to weld back in place? Also could someone tell me if they have restored a car taking the vinyl roof off to change it to a hardtop. Thanks.

Yes these clips are available, as are the pins that they clip too. Originaly they are welded to the metal but are probably off or gone. Do yourself a favour and buy a moulding clip release tool. The company that makes the clips, pins (screw in replacements) here in canada is aveco. You will probably find the rear deck filler panel is also rotted out. Its available in the aftermarket too. (I know I have just replaced mine)If you need info just e mail me and I will gladly help.
