68 Mirror options
What were the mirror options for a GTO in 68 ... standard, remote, sport? Did they offer dual mirrors? The original owner of my car had the bullet aftermarket mirrors on it (installed in probably 1972) so it's got holes in the right door ... and I'm really hoping the holes were factory.... but I don't see it on the PHS, and I don't see it listed as a possible option.
Are the repop remote mirrors any good ... I hate even asking that question.

I've never seen a factory RH mirror.

Drivers side only from the factory. Chrome Remote and manually operated. Both are round. I suppose the dealer could have added a manual one on the passenger side but there was no matching mirror for the remote.
Sport mirrors came out in 1970 or 71 but IIRC, the base would make them sit funny on a 68-69. 65-68 remote mirrors are fairly common. I bought a few on ebay for $30-35 dollars just for parts. Every now and then, NOS mirrors pop up. Haven't heard anything of the quality of the repops.

Well dang ... I really should have welded up those holes in the passenger side before it was painted. Maybe I could put a GTO club sticker over them.
Car came with a remote, not a huge fan of them ... at least I have some parts from the quite bad original.
