How can I remove the existing underhood insulation clips on a 1966 B body without damaging them so that they can be reused?

the side with like a pair of needle nose pliers until they cooperate. You *might* get frustrated with an awkward clip, and compress it too much out of sheer frustration (ask me how I know ) |

I was hoping to be able to remove some clips from a donor hood and reuse them on a decent hood that I have. But seems I will have to order new clips instead. Thanks for the head-up.

You should be able to reuse them. You just can't get carried away like on the one that frustrated me

Now that tools looks as if it might work. I know I have seen it before - and that it has a primary purpose unrelated to the removal of hood insulation clips - but cannot remember what it is called.
