Got a 63 Bonne. air cleaner was not original, so i bought one painted ford blue, i stripped paint off and want to paint it original color!! Question was the cleaner painted gloss black or semi gloss black?? where was decale located and what colorwas it for the a96c filter?? help guys??

semi or more correctly egg shell black, the decal is on the drivers side

Agree with 61man except no decal, the lettering was silk-screened.

Try using Krylon Semi-flat black.
It's a dead ringer for the factory 60% gloss that was used.

Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!
