Default Which hole do I use for PDL rod?

1974 T/A with factory PDL. In my picture below, does the PDL rod from the actuator go in to the actual door latch "A" or the pawl "B" . Thx.

It's been a looong time since I saw a PDL.
But I thought there was a pivot thingy that it went to then that to the doorlock? (not the key lock)

I can't find my Fisher book for 74.

I looked thru my 1974 Service Manual and cant find anything there either. Thx.
