Like Cliff has posted here time and time again these sounds can just be due to the fast closing ramps of some of these Cams which is why the noise seems to be coming from everywhere.
The sound of a valve tapping into its seat travels thru the rocker, push and down into the lifter .

That's one thing many like about the Harold Brookshire cams. He always used a soft closing side and kept that within a certain percentage so the valves weren't slamming on the seats.

Yeah, that's the only engine here in the stable that has about 30 hot idle oil pressure. Everything else here has at least 40 hot idle psi and some don't dip below 45 psi.
