Would make more sense to use a Pontiac engine...

When I was young, I was involved in shoehorning a Buick 215V8 into an old Porsche 356. It handled like crap. I wonder how the Fiero fares.

Two issues for me:

1.) Having the blower empty into a 4-barrel manifold...works on street but totally not efficient.

2.) It idles like hammered dog crap for being injected (or otherwise). Needs some tuning in the barrel valve to fix that.

Besides this, I think that car is pretty damn cool. I mean, who would think to put an Olds Toronado drivetrain into a Fiero?

I'm pretty sure a Pontiac engine will bolt up to the Toronado tranaxle. That's the way I'd do one if I had the opportunity.

Anyone remember a Fiero with 455 Poncho in HPP magazine 10 years back or more... I'd like to see that deal again.
