Hey guys. I've been all over hell's half acre down here in TX, with the help of the Dallas Area Pontiac Assn., and cannot seem to locate a rebuildable 800cfm quad for less than 100 bucks. Is that an average price?
I'm building a mild 455 for street, which makes me wonder, would a regular 750cfm do just as well in my application (Edelbrock Performer springs/cam/etc., stock intake)? Thanks, Double |

Pretty much answered your question in the "Perf. & Racing" forum. Those 800 cfm carbs you're seeing for $100 should ALL be bought whether you need it or not. Average price for a legit 71 455 H.O. carb is $300+ as a core. Not uncommon to see them going for $400-$600!
