William Shatner said he loved him as a brother. Great actor he was and will always be remembered.

Always liked him. Used to enjoy "In Search Of" show back in the '70s as well as his character in the Star Trek series and movies. May he rest in peace.

I just learned that he directed a couple of those Star Trek movies. It sort of seems all the actors in the series wanted to move away form their Trek characters but I think Leonard Nimoy really liked Spock and continued to love the character until he passed away.

He was a poet too. He would post lines from some of his poetry on Twitter. This is the last one he posted this past Monday.

He signed every post with the acronym Live Long and Prosper. Really a great guy. Ill miss him.

I remember he was even good as a Villian in Columbo. The only time I remember seeing Columbo losing his temper was with Nimoys Character.

Great picture. Glad you posted this. I seen one with him leaning on the front of a Riviera, but not this one.

Seen that. L.N. added a new dynamic added to that episode.

You can tell the photo with the 70 GTO was photoshopped. The original photo was with the Buick Riviera.

I've read a few books on the original series, and Nimoy became famous almost overnight. It's no secret that Shatner became a bit ticked off at Nimoy's popularity. It was supposed to be Shatner's show, and Gene Roddenberry envisioned their onscreen chemistry as a sort of Batman and Robin, Lone Ranger and Tonto, etc. But the character of Spock quickly became a huge pop phenomenon.

I read where Nimoy, during the first season, was quick to request his own air conditioned dressing room, and one that was larger than Shatner's. His official request for an a/c dressing room was because he took the longest in makeup, and it was difficult to keep his ears greenish tinting from running in the heat. Shatner wasn't happy, and threw a fuss, as this was supposed to be HIS show. Nimoy soon began receiving far more fan mail than the rest of the cast combined. He became a runaway hit, and then signed a contract to record an album (I actually have it).

It was saddened to hear of his passing.

Dos Equis guy, Fonzie, and Spock. Coolest dudes ever.
