Made some noise today!
Finally got this damn engine making some noise. Been sittin on that stand long enough. Now, I gotta get the car ready.

frittering and wasting the hours in an off hand way.... 1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core. |

Ive been thinking about that cam for my 467 and been trying to find a vid to hear it. I like the sound.

My guess is it will smooth out a little more over time as that motor was just fired up and not broken in. No tuning. I just dropped the dist. in and slapped my other engine`s carb on. I didn`t touch it at all. So, my guess is it`s not tuned properly. That`s not even my dist. I borrowed that one so I wouldn`t have to hook up a cd box.

How about posting a parts break down/engine recipe. I always find it useful to see the different parts combinations that people have success with.
