In the late '60s or early '70s I had N50-15s under my '63 LeMans that had '65 Chevelle El Camino 12 bolt rear mounted under it. They were mounted on 10" Centerline wheels that I ordered so that they would be positioned in the center of the wheel well. I don't remember what the back space was for sure, but I think it was 4-5/8".

it really depends how you build the car,if stock there is a tight spot on the inside because of the shock mount. If you put a solid rear it will depend how you set it up.I have found on the 3 that I have done that a 28X10 M/T slick will fit without any fenderwell mods.If you raise the rear you can get larger.I run my M/Ts on steel 8in wheels. The tight spots are front and rear inside of the wells.Tom
